Well i need replace 2 V fan belts on my 99 T2000 with 3406E. I did replece alternator belts 6 months ago and i install them over fan. But im not sure i can do same thing with fan belts since thay are 8" shorter than alternator belts. I did some research and looks like guys with W900 and 379 removed fan hub or fan but on T2000 fan is too close to the radiator so there is no way removing fan with radiator in place since i cant put any wrench in front of te fan. What other options i have
Thanks

Never worked on a t2000,but on old Freightliner I had. If you have a extra pair of hands, unbolt the bracket with someone holding it up with a strap and slip the on from the back side. Otherwise you’ll have to loosen up the radiator to make room.

CAT fan to crank v belts you almost always have to pull the fan blade to get em' on. Belts wont fit around the blade in most cases.

Yes that and the air line. It’s heavy and whoever you get to hold it needs to be fairly strong cause of no good way to stand.

You can’t get the belt over the fan even if you only do it one blade at a time?

Well i have 5.5" wife, she is small but helped me twice pull radiator and CAC on Volovo. I had to buy her dinner hahha
Anyway i tested one blade at time and it passes. Looks like T2000 have smaller fan or longer fan belt
Thanks -
Yesterday i replaced fan belts. It wasnt bad at all. I dont know if 379s with 3406 have bigger fan but i could easily ran belts over mine. Also i found ceap belts on Rock Auto for $.72 a piece. All Gatorbacks
