I've been driving OTR since 1993 and have well over 1 million miles. Needless to say, I've been around the block a time or two. In 23 years of driving I have worked with 5 trucking companies, some good some bad. But Falcon Transport takes the cake when it comes to horrible companies to drive for.
Seldom can the safety department be reached, usually voicemail with no return call. Equipment is garbage and nothing like they advertise during recruitment, a lot of their trucks shouldn't be anywhere near the road.
Now I'm in a position where I haven't received my paycheck in three weeks and I can not reach the payroll department or get a return phone call. Seems the only one working at the corporate office in Youngstown is the receptionist.
Asked several times to speak with the director of operations only to get the run around and eventually disconnected. Gina in Safety is an abusive person that will lie to you in a heartbeat to cover her own ###. Lord forbid you are ever in an accident, you'll be on your own.
Save yourself a ton of aggravation and avoid this company like the plague.
Falcon Transport is a Nightmare

I have seen their ads, they have a different looking paint job on their trucks.

No pay check in three weeks?
...aren't they causing a hardship on you and your family ?
.... Call the labor board and a lawyerMtn Gal Thanks this. -
Finally reached payroll and it looks like they are giving another employee my money. Why this would suddenly be an issue is beyond me, I've been with them for 5 months.
I can understand a company shutting down on July 4th but any longer could be detrimental to their business. I've worked too many holidays to accept the entire office shutting down. Through their own negligence they have failed to pay me for the hours I've worked.
Falcon Transport is by far the worst company I've worked for. You should see some of the equipment they have. How they are able to get around DOT is anyone's guess. -
Don't know about all the other things but
If you got a million miles otr then you had
To know thier trucks were garbage when you got there.
They've always been garbage, thier one step above

Without a doubt I will be looking for a new company this week. Never thought it would happen to me but I fell hook, line and sinker for their sales pitch. Posting this thread to help others avoid the same mistake.Last edited: Jul 7, 2016

I agree on falcon being unsafe. After witnessing quite a bit of idiotic behavior back when they were running double 48 boxes and the cabovers on the Indiana @ Ohio toll roads(witnessed 1 fatal wreck caused by one of them as well), I'm not surprised by falcon. I seen the ad in the trucker newspaper featuring the fancy peterbilt, but when I checked their website it just showed the old falcon logo. Sounds like it's a case of advertising gimmickry by painting an old turd new colors. Last time I looked at falcon's CSA numbers (before it went offline thanks to the scumbags at ATA) there were at least 4 or 5 categories which were deficient, and only got worse since CSA started. Sounds like falcon's management could care less who they screw over or kill for profit.
Mtn Gal Thanks this. -
I've seen a bunch of the black Petes with the green decals. Or it could have been the same few. I spend at least 50% of my time running PA and OH so I see Falcon often. It seems like there is a Falcon truck in every rest area I pull in to but it could be the same guys. Usually I see the older blue and green trucks though. I always wondered if they belonged to the same company. It's not like I've ever inspected one, but from looks alone, I can see what the OP is saying about truck quality. I did see a beat up ProStar with the black paint job. Looked like they just tried to paint the problems away.
Sorry to hear about your troubles. 3 weeks is a long time without pay. How long have you been with them, and is this the first problem with getting pay? You also mentioned something about the safety dept. not standing behind you after an accident. Did you get in an accident in their truck? -
Falcon claims to have been in business for 100 years but a quick search shows the company began in 1982. They also claim to have 1000 trucks, most of which they have been collecting since 1982 and should have been scrap metal by now.Mtn Gal Thanks this.
