I haven't had the door openings straitened yet. My doors still open and shut just fine so guess I was just happy to have the extra support between the cab and figured I'd eventually find a Pete dealer who is familiar with the process. I didn't notice any difference in the ride at all. No shocks needed in this position, the ones at the rear handle that. I'm glad the info helped. It's actually an easy project once you have the parts.

He I was just checking on where you found all the parts to do your mid cab air bags. I been looking everywhere and I cant seem to find the factory stuff. My doors are getting hard to close but I wanted to get all the parts bought and installed before I had the cab straightened. I seen your part numbers and searched but no luck. You got any suggestions and did you ever get your doors done?

I got all the major parts from LKQ used for $300. Best bet is truck wrecking yards. I have a friend that had this done at Peterbilt with new parts and it cost him $2200 back in 2005. His door openings were fine, he just did it for preventative reasons.

Haven't had the door openings straitened since the doors still open and shut fine. Someday this year I hope. I'm working on putting a rooftop A/C unit on the bunk currently.

Wow, I went to my local salvage yard today and they said 800 for the parts.

[/ QUOTE]

New member here. I have a 1990 peterbilt 379 with a 63” non unibilt sleeper, my question is what do I have to do to put air ride on cab and sleeper? I’ve heard about some braces missing but just trying to get some insight. Thanks in advance.

anyone still here? I put the center air bag setup between the cab and sleeper on my 2000 379. It seems to be holding its on as far as getting worse on the door alignment. My next question is is there suppose to be a leveling valve in the center, or does the rear control both? The latter is how its hooked up now. I can get the cab to straighten up with a lil convincing but once the air is gone it tweaks back to where it was. I'm wondering if I put a leveling valve in the center and split them, and put more air in the front bags and less in the rear bags, would it help keep the cab straight. Any ideas would be greatly appreciated..
