Please help, I have a gooseneck to hotshot 5 cars. Im getting a new truck, Not sure if F350 allowed to tow 5 cars in California, The price of an F350 much better than the F600. Which one to buy? F600 6.7 Diesel OR F350 6.7 Diesel?
    Your comments much appreciated.

A 5 car rig is way into CDL territory so the F-600 is the better idea. That type of trailer loaded will be too heavy for the rear axle on the F-350 dually anyway.

As stated, the pin weight will be too much for the F350.

    Won't a 550 work. I've seen a few 5 car hotshots with 550s

Possibly. That's a 14,700 RAWR vs 7280. But an F650 handles and rides so much better than an F550, and you can option air ride in the 650 vs an 18" thick spring pack in the 550.

2015 was the last year for the F600 with Cummins ISB inline-6

And future years came with the 6.7 PSD, which is what I believe he's asking about.

Go big. Buy a toter home. That’ll eliminate a lot of negatives of living on the road and you’ll be able to pull your 5-place. To me, the prices of these new hot shot trucks are ridiculous. If you spend some time shopping, you can find a nice, used toter home for what you’re looking to spend.

F-600 is a slightly beefed up F-550 with a 22k GVWR and comes in single cab only. The 650/750 is the larger cab trucks which I don't think he was talking about those. I would pass on the Ford and RAM in the medium duty segment and go with one of those heavy duty GM trucks. Those are something a little different and have some neat features not available on the other two.

I have never seen one of those in the wild... but they also come with the 6.7 PSD with a 15,500 RAWR for 2023.
