ezpass only does 18 states.
I’ve got ezpass and kansas tag for KS, OK, and Tx
Best does all i believe.gerardo1961 and ihaveaquestion Thank this. -
Take a look at prepass. It has an upgraded device and plan that works on basically every single toll road ive come across so far. Think the only places it has not were some of the little 1 off local roads that require cash and even most of those have accepted it.
tarmadilo, Ffx95, gerardo1961 and 2 others Thank this. -

I liked BestPass when I had it. Prepass Plus had a minimum number of trucks required at the time. You’ll get the maximum discounts with those two programs vs just an EZPass account on your own. These days I just run a SunPass as I mainly use it in FL but still works in EZPass states just in case I go up there a couple times a year.

I'll stick with my I-Pass. Works everywhere perpass works.
Pick it up at any service plaza in IN. "Chicago metro areal"
I loaded $200 on it and set it to auto draft my bank when it hit $100 to add $100.
Unlike the other's you can just go online and change things... I spend 40% of my time bobtail so i just change it to 3 axle from 5 when needed and back when I have a trailer...
Unlike others it is only pay as you go. Best pass charges a monthly fee just to have it 8n the truck... -
Constant Learner and flood Thank this.

I thought they had a bill floating around in Congress that would require "interoperability" of electronic tolling transponders in the contiguous US by a certain date.
I had a Pre-Pass Plus in that old Volvo I drove for Watkins and Shepard. I remember once I had to pull money out of my pocket to get across the Richmond Bridge in the Bay area, but other than that it worked everywhere. I have an EZ-Pass issued by the Indiana Toll Road in my hotshot truck. You pretty much don't have a choice if you run a lot of upper midwest and northeast. Many of the EZ-Pass states have done away with the cash boxes entirely but you do have to watch your account because they will make mistakes and sometimes not in your favor. -
I did hear that they’re creating something called the West Pass or WesPass in the northwest. Dakota to Washington, California, Nevada, Utah, Colorado. Nobody has to get a transponder or pay a fee. You just drive through the state and somewhere there’s photo equipment, DOT snaps a photo.
The technology is just on the highway. You don’t know where it is driver just drives past, snaps a photo of truck license plate both sides trailer, back & front. and the database can keep the records for a year at length
so technically in an audit they have a starting point, from there can track and trace vehicle location, bill of ladings, elogs, vehicle mileage and consolidate all the data and find errors/fraud/violations
