Hello everybody,
What's the best way to find expedite team driver long haul loads.
Is there a loadboard that has this option?
thanks

There are several places, Getloaded is one that is used, signing up with companies as an approved outside carrier is another.

Wouldn't any load requiring a team be considered expedite ? Just curious, I hear that term thrown around a lot. I figure if they require a team they must want it ASAP and that is expedite IMO.

Eexpedite is a term that gets used loosely around here. Team load does not make it expedite. A desperate broker saying it HAS to be somewhere, when it's down to the wire because of trying to move the load all week for nothing is not expedite. Expedite is largely auto industry, that's where it originated, they don't have warehouses at Ford or GM - suppliers make parts as soon as they're made they go in a truck, truck goes to Ford, parts come off truck and go into the line. JIT freight - just in time. There are carriers who provide standard dedicated service to cover this freight but if a supplier gets behind, for whatever reason, then more trucks will be needed to cover loads and keep production lines from shutting down which can cost $10's of thousands of dollars per minute when it happens. These expedite loads may be full loads or one pallet always pays full TL rates. These are normally loads that do not exist more than 12 hours before they ship. Normal auto loads and General freight loads are known days or weeks ahead of time. Auto sector is not the only segment of expediting just the largest. Landstar broker would be the best place to look for these loads in certain areas you will have to learn which agents. True team expedite loads are very rare on open load boards and even more so passed out to unknown indy's. Would have to be in the right place at the right time to get one and maybe then that one gets a foot in the door to more in the future.

Cause I've talked to O/O's that's leased to Landstar and they say they pick their loads and no ones favored. Am I reading your comment correctly that certain brokers handle certain loads and they do have their own list of drivers the dispatch those loads to and NEVER post them on their (Landstar) loadboard????

I realize that for those working on auto shipments or whatnot, they may use the word (incorrectly) for their purpose. But in truth any load that is on an accelerated deadline is indeed expedited.
It's kind of like the word "logistics", people attach all sorts of meaning to it but their ignorance doesn't change the definition of the word. -
In the business it has specific meaning regardless if you think it's incorrect or not. Most team freight can be rescheduled no problem. Expedite must get there no ifs ands or butts. Contrived "it's gotta get there" don't count.
