I have a 2006 Peterbilt 379 with the old style toggle switches on the dash. This was the year they switched over to the newer style rocker switches, but mine has toggle swithces. It has the American Class interior with electric windows on both sides. Anyway, today my passenger window went down but would not go back up. After swapping wires to the other switch to make sure it was good, I tore the door apart to get to the motor. With my test light I don't seem to be getting power to the plug at the motor. I ended up running some jumper wires from the door light and the window went right up like normal. So the switch is good and the motor appears to be good.
Is there a relay somewhere between the switch and the window? If so, where are they located? I checked the fuse block but couldn't find anything labeled as windows. Any other ideas? I'm sure there could be a bad wire somewhere, but everything I saw looked good. Thanks in advance for your help.

Try the loom where it goes through the cab structure to the door, pretty common for them to break in there.

My old Honda had a relay pack in the door that went out, though I haven't seen anything similar on the trucks I've worked on.

You have two switches, the one on the drivers door and one on the passenger door. If the switch on the drivers door (master switch) goes bad in one direction or the other, the window will not work. The only way to test them is with an ohm meter. If you have one it's pretty easy to test.

Ok guys I appreciate the help but I feel REALLY stupid right now. It was just a fuse. lol
I couldn't locate a fuse at first since the windows were labeled "spare 6 and 7." The reason I looked past that in the first place was that I have been having problems with that window for over a year now. It would go up slow sometimes and I've thought for a while the motor was going out. So when it finally quit I assumed the motor or a relay was toast. That and the fact that I had been up for many hours when it decided to not work as I was about to pull in a warehouse at 5 am with my dog barking at people out of the window that didn't work. I was not thinking clearly as I envisioned my dog hopping out to chase people. After a new fuse and some time to put my door back together, I'm back in business and my dog is happy too.
Thanks for the help.eeb Thanks this.
