Last week i have a check engine light went to different shop to find out what is wrong. Was only a 40 dlls sensor no big deal. Buuuut a big discovery they show that my ecm is showing 890 000 miles when my dash is 260 000 ... is there possible that with the flash and reprogram tink milage was altered ?? What I understood the program that im using is from a 2005 pre emission engine... thank you for your help

Is it possible they used the ECM out of that truck?
-
Did the ESN in ECM match your ESN?
-
Did they swap with a flashed ECM or flashed your ECM

I bet they did this.
Tuned another truck to get it right with all the parameters setup.
Copied the entire ecm firmware from that truck using an aftermarket software package.
Used that file on all the other trucks they worked on, which changed the mileage and other data to that of the truck they first tuned.
And they used that same file on your truck.
One fleet I bought out had all these 'mods' done to it by the shop super, the company owned the software that I ended up with and I had all the files.
I did an ecm data dump from each truck as part of my initial purchase offer, so I reviewed them myself and all of them had the same exact firmware version with the mileage on every truck being off by 216k.
I asked what's the deal and the owners told me what they did, so I lowered my offer substantially, which they still accepted and I had all the trucks fixed right and sold them off.Socal Xpress, Justrucking2 and Goodysnap Thank this. -

Sounds like they used the wrong overlay, the incorrect CPL file for your truck. That is what the butcher shops like to do. Did they at least fix your SCR can for you, or did they leave it alone?

They have the wrong file in your truck, not good.
