Just had my engine inframed ! After 30 hours running time I shut it off to check the oil and it wouldn't start ! Service guy hooks up laptop to her and says ECM is showing it's not getting power ! Dow I get the ECM tested or just go with a new one ?

My fuse isn't in the battery box. My mechanic thought it was. It's up close to the firewall under the hood. So if you don't see one in the box check there also. Mine did almost same thing.

Then find the pins that are supposed to have batt power, key power, and ground. A DD shop should be able to tell you the pin numbers.

Not PIN (personal identification number), pin in the ecm plug. IE what wire going into the ecm plug should have batt power, key power, and ground. Remember, the ecm needs a perfect ground as well as both powers.

    Crudehauler ted Thanks this.
