Couple of people told me about Diesel Doctor in Effingham, IL, who does wonders to engine's ecm. Anybody got reviews on that?
I got 500hp N14 and average 6.5-6.9 mpg running 65-70 with dry van. Is it really possible to get more mpg out of this thing? Not looking to get more power

If you want the engine ruined why not. I didn't like his tune at all. At first it was OK. But then my oil temp went up and truck sounded different.
rachi Thanks this. -
He did wonders for my 3406e cat. I don't know how he is with Cummins. Seems like a couple people on here don't like what he did with their Cummins

I went to The Doctor in Mt. Vernon, Il. with my C15. Greatly improved my power and helped my MPG. Christian fellow if that means anything to you.

Your probably close to as good as it gets.
I'd pm Gearhead give him the engine info, see what he can do. -
Did your engine get ruined?Terry270 Thanks this.

Nope lol but when my engine oil is running hotter from his tune and louder something is wrong.

You are getting a generic tune, one size fits all. I use. http://www.dieselcontrolservice.com/index.php/about/
Get it done right -
I can't vouch for that outfit specifically as I've never used them- but I second the suggestion of getting a custom tune. Get it setup to do what YOU do, not what everybody else does.magoo68 Thanks this.

I agree with @Ruthless
When you plan on a custom tune, have who ever recommended the shop, guy or tune be there for the introduction. Get REAL referrals
On a side note. Yes, a bad tune can do some harm to your wallet as well as the motor.
