I have a 2007 Columbia with a Eaton Fuller Smart shift Transmission it won't go into gear it keep flashing check trans light, and when I checked the code it showed 56 which is input shaft speed sensor. should I replace the speed sensor or is there something else going on.

Unplug the sensor and try it. If it doesn't work then. Keep it unplugged get a paper clip make a "U" shape out of it and stick it into the sensor plug.
This fixed my shifter problem in my 07 Columbia smart shift(kept blowing fuse)
Low coolant sensor
I replace fuses with paper clips hahaha.
But like G, Anthony said I'm not saying it's going to work it's a suggestion lol -
with a paper clip...
