I purchased this used tranny eaton fuller 13speed RTOF-14813 for my truck. My truck is a 1999 freightliner fld120 it has a detroit 60 series 12.7 470hp with 10 speed regular with 3.55 gear ratios and 295/75/22.5 tires.
The mechanic told me this 13 speed is not compatible with my truck and if I install it my truck will top out at 55mph. I made the big mistake of purchasing the 13 speed without doing any research about compatibility for my truck. Truly my mistake I accept it. I'm stuck with this 13 speed as I cannot return it.

My question if anyone can help is:
Does anyone know what year and make model truck this 13spd RTOF-14813 will fit nicely?? In what application will this tranny work great? I'm having a hard time trying to figure out what truck this tranny will fit. I already tried to go online to eaton fulller website and could not find any information on this tranny.

I thank anyone in advance that can give me any information on this tranny. thanks
    tony.

I would call an actual transmission shop and ask them about your situation. try www.transaxle.com. I was told all overdrive trannys have very close to the same final gear ratio,so it shouldn't matter...unless its a direct drive.

    .

that trans shouldn't be a problem as far as gearing. it has a .73 overdrive

the only problem i could see depends on your engine hp / torque as that trans is rated for 1400 ft lbs which depending how you drive could affect the durability.

back in the early 80's i had a shaker with a 3408 cat and the trans i had was 125/13 rated for 1200 ft lbs

had to rebuild the back half 3 times in the 4 years i owned it
