I have 93, 357 Pete with Eaton axles, tags are gone on the axles. The line sheet list them as DC451P front driver,RC451P rear driver. Anybody know what the weight rating is for these axles? Logging Pete

According to my book D means front diff, R means rear. C = Single reduction with controlled traction. 45 = 45000 lbs axle ratings. 1 = single reduction. P = optional lube pump. Hope that helps

They are 45,000 lbs. Never seen the 45s in anything other than Chevy/ GMC Kodiaks. They had a heavy tandem with 16 front and 45 rears. Petes (or any other manufacturer) usually use 46,000 lbs rears for heavy specs. Sometimes 44s or 52s but usually 46s. guess I learned somthing today.

Ya Ithink the 44s are the same way. Gvw is only about 74000lbs I think. 46s are the common offroad/heavyhaul/high torque rears.

Were you talking to the guys at Pete in Wausau? The only guy there worth his salt is Dick that works second shift... every time I order parts from the day crew they screw things up.
