Trying to figure out what happened today. I have a 2010 Kenworth with a 10 speed trasmission. I came to a stop like normal, threw my splitter down to shift it into first gear to take off and would not walk anymore. Started loosing pressure and after would not build pressure more than 50 on prime and less than 100 on secondary. Got off the truck and had a big air leak coming from under the cab. And the weird thing is and has me scratching my head, is even with having the truck stalled and with the engine running I was able to put it in gear without pressing on the clutch and it was not go any where. Ended up getting pulled to the nearest shop with my buddy's truck. If you might have experience this, let me know. Or if you have any ideas of what it might be let me know as well. Thanks in advanced!

its possible that when you split it thats when the leak started, the splitters run on air pressure

    Nefi Thanks this.

Splitter maybe stuck between high and low because it lost air pressure... Not a transmission guy so I could be wrong.

Sounds like when you went to shift range to the low side a line or seal blew and it only partially moved the synchronizer before losing pressure to the piston effectively putting it in neutral. Get whatever the air is leaking from fixed and try it then, most likely that's your only problem.

    Nefi Thanks this.

Here's a link to every Eaton transmission service manual you would ever need. There is troubleshooting instructions for different symptoms in them, including air system problems. Sounds like worst case scenario you have to pull the top plate to get to the splitter.

It was the shift module. That's where the air leak was coming from, 400 and something is the part and 700 something for labor, yay me lol

I have a 2006 Kenworth t800 with a lightning series super 10 tranny. This morning I was going to work and I was leaving the yard and my truck won’t shift into the high gears. Gears 1-5 work but I can’t hit the low gears. Service light on shifter is blinking any help?
