I read that California demands a 10 year clean driving record, I know every state is different and since I will be a nomad I think I could get a regular drivers license and a CDL from any state I choose.
And also what state is not very picky in residency since I will be a nomad not staying in one place for a long time, Can you believe that I was threatened with a Police visit to my address at a Texas DMV If I did not live where I said I live, but since I will be a nomad how can I explain that I will not be living there for most of the time.
Easiest state to get a CDL

Check with Escapees RV Club and they can set you up with a Texas address. Many people with a nomadic lifestyle use this service. It's good for CDL address and has mail forwarding.
Trckdrvr Thanks this. -
Florida...All you have to do is have enough money. They give CDL's away to anybody down there

Yep.. in once sentence drivers want to be respected and in ten other threads, its how to work around the already ridiculously low standards to get hired / rehired / or re-qualified after doing something dangerous, costly or stupid
rabbiporkchop, hagarcobra, calnca and 2 others Thank this. -
Which ever state has the biggest population of Track suit flip flop gold jewelery slicked back hair and has a co-driver for terrible english translation that smell like my boots

Florida is probably the easiest.

I got my CDL in Pennsylvania and it was really easy. Straight line backing, parallel park, drive around without hitting a curb. My school never even taught us 45 or 90.
However they just recently updated the road test so it's harder now.
