e-zpass toll roads - does dot have access to their time stamps.

Why are you worried about toll roads.

 

If your talking about DOT. In a word YES. If they want to. I don't use EZ pass. I use only Pre Pass and Pre Pass only records the day , NOT the time I pass or enter a scale. Any time you use an electronic device such as the EZ Pass or Pe Pass the authorities can get that info if they feel it is warranted. They will not however do it to prove your innocent.
My advice is to be as right as rain as you can be and you stand a good chance of getting a passing grade. Try cheating it will come back to haunt you at a later date.

I would wonder just how the dot would have access to the ezpass information in a traffic stop.

 

Way it was explained to me by my trainer...if you are a company driver at least every time tag is used it registers that info with your company. So I would assume at that point a phone call, warrants, whatever would need to be collected to attain such info...i am sure the dot can get their hands on it somehow....they would find someway to regulate that if they couldn't.

Must of changed, because back in 2000, the company I leased to caught me a slight bit over the time.

 

If your using the system that pays tolls , that is a different thing. Yes but due to the $ involved has to be accurate. But just Pre Pass . EZ Pass is different and a different company.Call Pre pass and ask . Every few months I do to be sure. How ever I really don't care as I don't cheat . (much)
