For a single truck owner or small fleet, I found its easiest to just open a business account where you fund your account in advance. If I recall you have to maintain a $200 minimum. The commercial account required a bond or an escrow. Ain't nobody got time for that!

 

I got one for my truck thru Virginia, you can set up an auto refill thru a credit card or checking account.

I set up my account years ago over the phone. You need to know how many axles, length of trailer and license plate. My escrow fund is $50 since I don't run those tolls much. Replenishment comes automatically from bank account. If you run those expensive bridges everyday your escrow will be higher.
Transponder is $0.50/month fee and they give you free velcro to stick on windshield.

 

Forget EZ pass... GetIpass.com I bought it when I use to run the Illinois tolls a lot. But, now I never go up there and do use it for the WV and OH tolls. It works on any EZ pass tolls. No monthly charges...... Bigger discounts....

You dont need a bond, just need to put a minimum of $200. I think I put $500 on mine to start. The forms are pretty easy to fill out.
