Does anyone dump air bags on truck or trailer when your parked for the night? Someone told me it's easier on the bags to not have all the weight on them when not needed, kinda makes sense I guess.

I do quite often when I’m heavy
Hayfieldmn Thanks this. -
My company does when we unhook from loaded trailers to protect the landing gear.
But loaded and hooked, I haven’t. The suspension eventually bleeds down on its own.Hayfieldmn Thanks this. -

Who told you that line of malarkey?
Of all the trucks I drove with air ride, very few held air in the bags overnight anyway.

Mine will sit loaded at the yard all weekend and hold air. But, the truck only has 160k miles..OLDSKOOLERnWV, PE_T and Bean Jr. Thank this. -
I only pull the truck parking brakes at night, leave the trailer completely aired up. Especially in the winter to prevent frozen brakes.
Only dump the air bags when dropping the trailer or unloading.Rideandrepair, D.Tibbitt, beastr123 and 2 others Thank this. -
I only dump air on trailer when backed into a door loading. That’s only to prevent bouncing up and down when driving in and out of trailer. Less wear and tear on bags. As far as overnight parking never been a fan of dumping bags. But if it makes you feel better mentally I say go for it.
