Camping World, the highest prices in the RV world, is selling an Onan 2500 watt, diesel-powered, inverter generator for $850. It looks to be a diesel-powered Honda generator.

I promise it will be less hassle to buy and use than creating one for the first time in your life. It will also have some sort of warranty.

Dang, I thought I could trust Onan, Cummins stickers to mean diesel. Reading is hard. Thanks for the correction.

I made my own 4.5 kw generator based on Kubota engine to fit only 20" space available. Provides 120 volt and 60 amp 12 volt charging batteries. IMG_20190924_110106858_HDR.jpg IMG_20191019_141152161.jpg

Most RV generators are gasoline fired. I looked at replacing mine with a diesel fires unit, but they cost several thousand dollars.

Yup. That's why I was looking at 200cc diesel engines. snailexpress posted his setup and I may check that out honestly. The US just doesn't have small diesel engine options for the most part.
