Okay, what is this? My brother to pulled over for a Level II in NY the other day. They got him for a "kink" in his air line. He said you could barely see a mark but of course you couldn't win. Then his ABS light had vibrated the plug loose. He pushed it back in but he still got a warning ticket for it too.
He called me and asked me to look and see what points those are. He doesn't do the internet lol. Anyhow, it shows both as 4 points. But the air line is says no under DSMS and the light is yes.
So I googled what DSMS is and got this...
http://www.csa2010.com/articles/DSMS_(Driver_Safety_Measurement_System)_Methodology.htm
So what exactly is this. It's what the DOT officers see?
And the point system, it's actually 12 and loose a third with each year that passes. But I thought the points actually go to the company and the points for the driver are for the company to use to make sure they have safe drivers. But don't go on the driver, actually.
It seems to me that the CSA scoring is like the Bible...open to interpretation. Depends who you talk to as to what you will be told. lol![]()
