In my opinion there's more cons than pros. I hauled dry bulk cement, fly ash, typical products for the concrete industry. I also hauled rubber mesh for the asphalt industry. The reason I note the cons might be because of where I live, which is Florida. Bulk tanks require attention, you must be out and about when pumping in all types of weather, extreme heat, cold, rain, snow, etc. They're time consuming, loading is no less than half an hour plus the wait time to get to the silos, and unloading is an hour plus. The bulk tank I used for the rubber had 4 pods, it took nearly 2 hours to unload. You have customer requirements for air pressure which needs to be strictly monitored, you do not want to blow out silos, believe me. You also need to be very careful to pump off in the correct silo, not to mention alot of silos are in very tight spots of the plant that you will be unloading at. This is just my opinion, I'm not a negative guy, bulk just wasn't my cup of tea.
