My dog got hit by a car recently and I have been very depressed. My friend who recently had surgury gave me one of her pain killers and I can't pass a drug test for 30 days or so. My question is does shneider do a urine or hair folicle test

I heard Schneider does a hair test. The pain pill may or may not show up on a hair test. Best to play it safe and go get a script quick. Just keep going to doctors and until one writes your script. You don't have to fill it I think. You could fill it and recoup your copay, if your ballsy enough to work your local street corner, just kidding... With the script you can show it to the MRO, medical review officer. The MRO will only call you if there is a problem. Odds are after all that leg work and worry it wont even show in a hair test.

I was worried when I first started trucking. Found out some companies do hair testing and thought nothing of it. Did a little research and started to worry about a single pain pill I took when I had a rib out of place. Didn't think anything of it when I popped the pill, I was in pain. I just went to work for a company that didn't hair test, and boom, one year experience, and now I can pass a hair test. I highly doubt I would have failed one either. I think for the drug to grow into the hair follicle the drug needs to be in your system, ie your blood, for longer than a week. I'm pretty sure hair tests would only catch a habitual user, but I didn't want to risk it.

    Good Luck

I pulled my lower back one day and "borrowed" a hydrocodone from my father. A week later I took the hair and urine test for Schneider. It was never brought up so I'm assuming it never showed up on the test. I don't know exactly how it works, but I feel like 1 pill is not enough to show up on the test.

Sorry to hear about your dog. Schneider does not have a school. Can you be more clear?

One week would have been enough time to clear the urine, and still not show in the hair. It takes over a week for the hair to grow past the scalp from the root.

I tend to over think things. I probably would have been fine, but I was too worried about ending a career before it began. All these tests have thresholds the examiners look for. They are just trying to catch the habitual users. Its unfortunate the straights get pulled into the fray. Don't get me started on false positives. I have heard some real horror stories about false positives. I can't believe these companies put so much faith and trust into these labs.

To the OP, your probably fine.

No, there trying to catch people with illegal and/or unprescribed drugs in there system. Which was the case here. "The Straights" don't have to worry about failing drug tests for unprescribed narcotics in their system.

Sure they do, google false positive drug tests. It's unfortunate you seem to have been enveloped by the teachings of the powers that be. Illegal/unprescribed drugs is a falsehood. Granted it is the world we live in, but popping a pain pill when your in pain rather than jumping hoops to get your medicine is not something I'd hold against someone. Nor would I agree with throwing a person in prison for using drugs. Unfortunately we live in a strange world. "The Straights" need to wake up and realize just following the herd doesn't always keep them safe.

Your comment used the word catch, to imply they did something wrong? Your attitude seems rigid on the subject. Free your mind.

To the OP, you may still have enough time to get a script or avoid a hair test for a long time. Plenty of companies don't hair test.
