I'm seeing trucks almost every day at the fuel pumps with the tow hooks/rings still attached to the front bumper. Don't do that. The attorneys that will sue you & your company after to crash into someone with those on your bumper will make even more money. You're just asking for trouble from DOT.

Some folks would gripe if hung with a new rope, what difference does it make to the dot , or any lawyer if you have tow hooks installed. Heck some trucks they are permanent fixtures.
I have left mine , until some low life stole one of them, them things are pricey.Grubby, rabbiporkchop, Opendeckin and 10 others Thank this. -

On our trucks that go off-road we leave the tow hooks in all year round. That way we know where they are.
Never had a problem with DOT about tow hooks.Grubby, rabbiporkchop, Lepton1 and 12 others Thank this. -
The only downside I see is whacking your shin on them during the pre trip while you are walking around looking up.

Im sure there is some guys that have a good excuse like the guys that go off road and get stuck alot.. But if its just mega plastic trucks that never touched dirt , i would chalk it up to laziness
tscottme, QuietStorm, skellr and 1 other person Thank this.
