First fix your truck, second don't drive 100 miles on hr, common sense is the key high wind slow down, are you can go flying off a bridge like that driver in VA,WesternPlains Thanks this.

Roads that are rutted bad make it hard to keep a truck in the center of your lane.

I do pneumatic trailer. Empty half the time. Fully loaded the other half.
Most the time, empty is fun. I blast up hills, leaving the Supertruckers in my dust.
But wind? Handles wind much better than a van. But don’t be fooled. Empty it can blow. In a few extreme gusts, my downwind steer did dip strongly. Indicated the truck wanted to flip. So I am careful in the wind when empty. It ain’t something to ignore. Don’t ignore the wind when loaded either. That tank ain’t no low center of gravity.
EDIT: I agree with the slow down in the wind. Even a tanker. Be careful and safe. Remember that what gets you there the fastest is keeping the door shut. Period. There is a reason Wyoming shuts down I80 in high winds. Just sit on a bad day and be thankful it isn’t a disaster day.Last edited: Sep 9, 2018

Yeah as soon as i read this post my thoughts went to the load i got asked to pick up out of Joplin MO 24 pallets of empty cartons for Campbells soups going back to their factory in southern Utah we had 70 + mph winds all through KS and CO had the truck moving all over the place, in fact theres a spot just north of SLC UT where the Highway patrol will shut down all trucks on the I-15 due to high winds and the risk of them being blown over usually in late November early December.Canadianhauler21 Thanks this.
