So recently I slid off the road in Washington state, didn't hit anyone, nobody hit me, I was going slow and unfortunately hit a real bad patch of ice and slid right into the ditch, trooper was cool about everything but notified me that in Washington, if you go off the road he has to issue a citation, in this case I got a " driving too fast for conditions " he said it was the lowest he could go, will it be hard for me to get on with other companies? Also I left the previous company on good terms.
"Driving too fast for conditions " How bad is it?

It's like a speeding ticket. Some drivers say to contest every ticket. I probably would contact a lawyer or ticket service and spend the money to reduce or remove the violation. Obviously it's better to drive like every ticket is a career death sentence even though most tickets are not.

Ya, I’d get a local lawyer and try to get out of that………
Justice might be blind but she’s not cheap ….Mototom, Rideandrepair and Chieftains Thank this. -
Thanks guys, I should've mentioned that it was only a $190 ticket, so its not too bad but its still money. Thank you for the replies.
Rideandrepair Thanks this. -
You should at least find out what category they put that ticket in. If it ends up in careless or reckless, it could be considered a serious moving violation.
Two of those in a 3 year period and you will lose your license for 90 days.Rideandrepair and MOBee Thank this. -

Got out of a few by showing up to court.

In PA that's a no points violation. Usually you just pay it and forget about it, fighting it usually costs more.
But if you can show up in court in person, you may have a chance. Good possibility the cop pulls a no show for court and it's thrown out
I once was charged with reckless driving after doing something dumb. The cop was laughing as he wrote the ticket until he realized I had a CDL. He suggested I plead not guilty, take a hearing. Said he'd reduce the charge. So I did just that. He never showed up in court, the case was thrown out, all charges dropped.MACK E-6, AModelCat, Cat sdp and 1 other person Thank this. -
The last speeding ticket I got was down in Boise. I was in an industrial area and I thought it was a 45. But it was a 35. I got a ticket for 48 in a 35. Here’s what I did. I paid the fine in full. But I also included a letter that said I thought I was in a 45 and that having a 13mph over ticket could maybe hurt my employment. I made it very clear that they could have my money and that I wasn’t looking for a reduced fine. They cashed my check and all it said on my mvr was “local speeding” and no mention of 13 over. You could always try something like that.
