Can't say personally but mother had it done. Sure seemed much more simple then I thought it would be. Laser type deal, out patient thing maybe took an hour for each eye. She had one done the first visit , seems she wore a patch for like a day then the following week the other eye. I was impressed how smoothly it went. She does still wear glasses but now her prescription is much lower power and the shadows are gone. I would ask a lot of questions first but as a driver one would have to get it fixed to keep working or the physical will get you one day if a traffic problem doesn't , don't want that to happen. Get some consultation. Like I said it sure didn't seem like a big deal. Hope that helps.

If you need it done, get it. I had several diseases as a kid, which eventually affected my eyes to the point where, if I looked at a lit street light at night, I would see a ring of 7 blurry lights with one eye, and 8 with the other. My vision was literally off the charts, somewhere around 20/400 or so. Took the docs a while to figure out, had cataract surgery, now have decent 20/20 and 20/30 vision. Need glasses for up close, but sure wished I'd had it done years earlier! Oh... no pain. but you will be a bit more sensitive to light, so get some good sunglasses.

I am fairly new in the industry and I am running mostly nights up and down I75 in MI and OH. I find the glare to be difficult to deal with at times, especially when it's raining. I have near perfect vision but it seems more strained at night. Any suggestions for eyewear that may help me out would be appreciated.

Keep your windshield clean, especially inside! Other than that, anything tinted to reduce glare will also reduce the light you have going into your eyes, thereby reducing visibility. Check with your eye doctor, he/she may have some suggestions.
Oh, I find wearing a baseball cap helps a bit..... but that's just me.

I had cataract surgery. It was quick, painless and a great improvement.
