Driver air seat 2022 Volvo VNL 760.
I understand the reason for the design of the seat but I hate it.
The air seat deflates every time you get out of the seat & reinflates every time you sit back down in it. I am assuming, its supposed to make it easier to enter the vehicle with the seat deflated all the way to the floor, then reinflates to where you had it set.
I hate it because if I reach across the truck for something, it deflates & goes to the floor. If I raise by butt up off the seat to adjust my belt/pants etc, it deflates to the floor.
Anybody know how to disable this? Is there a setting or switch or anything on the valve to disable this & stop it from deflating? Do I need to pinch off an exhaust air line with a pair of vise grips or something? I am desperate to get this auto deflate thing disable/stopped/broke/tore-up or whatever I need to do. I hate this thing.

I would guess it has some kind of adjustment on it.

Hmm. I must be missing something. I have a 2022 VNL760 and my seat(s) don't do that. I guess I missed that "upgrade" option.
Anyway, sounds like it's a real pain to contend with. My 2022 seats are basically the same ones as I had in my previous truck, a 2019 VNL760.
The 2019 and 2022 are very similar. But, have noticed some differences and new stuff. On my new truck, if you open the driver door and the tractor parking brake has not been set. It loudly fusses at you. Decided I like that particular nagging buzzer. And, when you set the tractor parking brake, the transmission (automatic) will automatically switch to Neutral. That doesn't really effect me, but thought it interesting and probably a good idea.
My new truck has the "Idle Smart" stuff which includes a small tablet in the sleeper berth. Kinda cool and it seems to work well so far. It has 3 features, 1 adjust sleeper berth temp to what you want for cooling (might work on heating too, but habe a bunk heater that works really well, so haven't tried to see if the idle smart can be used to heat the sleeper berth too). I haven't been in any warmer temps lately, so,haven't used it much. I have used it twice and seemed to work well. 2. Engine cold temp. You can set it so if the engine temp gets below what you want, it will start and run the engine until the engine reaches a warmer temp that can also set. Haven't used this yet. Thankfully, haven't been anywhere cold enough to even think about using. 3. Battery Voltage. You can adjust the minimum battery voltage and the time duration for,the engine to run and charge batteries. This one seems to work pretty good too. I set it for 12.1 volts and 20 minutes. When the voltage dips below 12.1 volts, engine will fire up and run for 20 minutes. I have a 47 quart freezer that resides on my passenger seat and I run it off of the inverter. It also can directly use a 12 volt plug. But, for complicated reasons I just run it off 110 volt inverter.
Lastly, this one has a big refrigerator built in with a smaller freezer space (big enough to fit about 4 or 5 lean cuisine dinners). Works great so far, bigger dilemma was actually figuring out where to put the stuff I kept in that space in my 2019 without a refrigerator.
Sorry, didn't mean to divert from the OP's question. I'm just having fun with my new truck and got carried away.KB3MMX, JacksonJacobs2020, Speedy356 and 2 others Thank this. -

I get about 7.5 mpg but I stay in mine. & once I get in it, it never shuts off till I'm done.
When I start moving, I have both feet flat on the floor &/or with the cruise at max... which is 68.
One of my co-workers has a 2021 760.... same truck, but he gets right at 9 mpg. He babies his and shut off at every stop & doesn't run as "hard" as I do.
Both have the 12 speed auto's.
We both run day trips generally speaking in the deep south.
So, from running hard 100% of the time, to being really fuel friendly.. is the difference between 7.5 & 9 mpg. Same truck except for the year model.BoxCarKidd and Siinman Thank this. -

You can lock it in by hitting the switch on the left side of the seat. I like to ride low, so I deflated mine and flipped that switch. There's 2 of them on the left side, 1 deflates or inflates, and the other locks it in.
