Little known information collecting company that will not supply a copy to consumers as required by law. DAC does now and even has a link to the website to get your yearly report. This one (Driver Facts) is worse: it's a partnership with SWIFT companies, Knight, Covenant, and US Express that I know of. I am sure others participate. It has feilds to list attitudes of the driver, appearance, medical health, and other personal things. I have been trying for weeks to see what SWIFT says about me when I worked there YEARS ago. This information is saved and shared with other companies without you signing a consent form or getting a copy mailed to you like DAC does when you hire on someplace new or get turned down for a job. Those companies I listed are saying the DAC consent form you signed says you agree, I think they even list your credit score:

Look at their "Links" page portion of their website! There is a list of 15 different companies that are most likely either contributors and/or subscribers of this alleged driver information service! (I would provide the link if I knew how!) Just another way to keep a "blacklist"!

So you believe that they just graciously donated the bandwidth and placed those companies links on their website out of the goodness of their own heart, not because those companies have engaged in some sort of business together??? Why stop at those 15? Why not list even more? Really???
You think, if we ask pretty please, they will post a link to TTR???:smt046

Drivers, what the hell are we waiting for? We have just enough facts to back us up for a large scale litigation against these companies. Can you say: Class Action Lawsuit? I almost forgot myself about having some sort of consent form whenever your personal information goes out to an agency.

When you apply for a credit card, or in-store credit account, what are you required to sign? A form stating that your personal info will be collected and submitted to an agency in order to perform a credit check, or something along those lines.

So, these happy-go-lucky hiring and safety managers are submitting our information off to some known, but unseen agency (Hire Right formerly USIS formerly DAC) and sharing our information at the same time without our consent? Is anyone else lawsuit happy? Does anyone know any lawyers?

OOIDA members, and whoever else out there that have been fighting these crooks for years, why hasn't a petition gone around to either get these guys shut down, or reformed/re-organized? I myself hate government involvement in everything, but since us truck drivers are regulated by the federal government (Department of Transportation), then why can't THEY handle the drivers' driving, performance, and safety records?

DAC may was well be run by a corrupt mafia that receives kick-backs from the large truck companies. Kind of what goes on anyway and yet everyone is either too stupid or too weak to fight these guys.

I got my file from driver facts and man it sucks. It has all my DAC information plus a place that is not on my DAC. It allows subscribers to print anything they want and because driver facts was not part of the OOIDA lawsuit back in like 02 or 03 that forces rebuttals to be printed and treats the DAC like a credit report in therory but not reality, Driver Facts is unregulated. Here is an example of mine

Covenant Transport, who I went to a day of oreintation with back in 2003 is not listed on my DAC but is on my Driver Facts. I was told I could solo on the phone and went down in my personal car and never stayed in the hotel. Day 1 the recruiter pulled me aside and said she made a mistake, I would not have to train but would be required to team for a couple of months as all new drivers have to even though I had about 9 months OTR at the time. I said no thanks and walked off. They said I was a "Hothead with an attitude" on my Driver Facts. Another Company Swift, my 1st job, says i am a hot head to and the time I worked there is beyond 7 years, all negitive stuff at least falls off after 7 years on DAC allowing only for time and dates.

Driver facts was started by the same Knight man that started Knight transportation. I got a feeling Knight is going to be the carrier to hate in the next decade above all others from some of the things I am seeing them do. Marten Transport used to be a great company before knight got inside the door with one of the best driver turnover rates in the industy but now it's crap from what I see and hear. Watch out about these secrect files Marten drivers because you getting information collected by them.
