What can one expect to pay for having the filter cleaned? A few years back I was told $900 for the filter cleaning on my T-680 Paccar engine.
My current truck is currently wanting to regen constantly. 2023 Cummins 250k miles.
Got a no warning derate while hauling tail across Wyoming at 1am.. After a 2.5 hour parked regen I gained power back to climb hills.
Just unloaded in Twin Falls, Idaho and not really liking my options here. Rush..maybe next week..The other Peterbilt dealer, Jackson Group may be able to get it in tomorrow afternoon but their reviews are kind of terrible.
There’s a Pete dealership in Rock Springs, WY I was going to stop at this morning but I got the immediate derate fixed temporarily. Getting the product off my trailer today was the most important thing on my mind.
I’m sure that I’ll probably need more than a simple filter cleaning..
Got a great load out of here on Friday so I got a couple days to play with.
Anyone got a better option for service? I don’t mind deadheading a few hundred miles.
DPF Cleaning costs..can someone help with a cost effective place?

I'd usually say to take it to DPF Alternatives, but there are no locations near Twin Falls. If you did decide to deadhead out to one of their locations, it's a 24 hour turnover to get them cleaned. It's also been a while since I've had mine cleaned up, I think it was between $250-$400 for DOC and DPF cleaning.

Anything that affects the exhaust pressure can cause soot levels to be affected, so it may not be a plugged or full DPF.Siinman, Concorde, Oxbow and 1 other person Thank this. -

@sawmill
Maybe they know someone.
Another option you might consider. An imdependent shop can take those out and have them cleaned by the dealer. Normal cost is under 200$ to have them cleaned.
Then just buy new clamps and gaskets and the independent shop can reassembleloudtom, Concorde, Oxbow and 1 other person Thank this. -

I cant remember who we used right off the top of my head, but if I understood the process correctly they would bake the filter and then blow it out... Not a permanent solution but it did get ya up and going for at least a few more months, and it wasn't very expensive IIRC.

I can't really help beyond that as I haven't ever had to get one baked yet. Cat in Pocatello has a truck shop and bakes them as well - might be an option. -
