I went today to take the doubles/triples test and failed. I had 15 right and 4 wrong and the last question would determine whether I passed or failed and I unfortunately got it wrong. I read the manual, took practice tests on cristcdl.com and another site, but a lot of the questions I saw today weren't on the practice quizzes. Can anyone direct me to a site that has more updated quizzes or has someone taken the test recently have a site to help me better prepare for next week? Thanks!

I thought there were 25 questions on the doubles/triples endorsement test, not 20 and you are allowed 5 wrong. Could be different in your state though.

    Try http://driving-tests.org/.

In Missouri you can take the test back to back. So if you fail you just take it again. Missing too many questions is not a big deal in my book as nothing about an endorsement means you can actually drive. Plus if you have more then one trailer behind you there is a driver out there being underpaid because of it. My personal opinion is we make a big mistake when we fail to work together.

Thanks for the responses. Today, the test had you could miss 4 as long as you got 16 right. If you missed 5 you failed or if you got 16 right you passed; whichever came first.

A couple of the ones I missed were one picture had the truck making a turn and asked how you would make the turn in a double/triple. I missed another one that asked which was true and I chose the answer "stopping distance times starts from the time you foot touches the break pedal and applies pressure" but the correct answer was "it takes 4 times the stopping distance to stop at 40 mph as it does 20 mph". I also missed a couple on which break lines should be open.

I have an interview on Mon for a job that wants me to drive doubles/triples. I applied 6 months ago for a route position but they called and offered me a shuttle position driving doubles/triples. I told the guy that I didn't have the endorsement, but I'd try to make before the interview on Mon. I'm afraid now that me not passing is going to knock me out of the job, because I cannot test again until Thursday.

I drove them for 8 years and I'm pretty sure I'd fail the test if I took it today.

Keep cracking at it. More test resources needed.

Air lines , open all the way to the last trailer - that one is closed at the rear.

Your state's Motor Vehicle website should have practice tests, as does Ca. P.S. braking distance is measured from the instant you see the problem until you get 'er stopped.

You need to google your states DOT / DMV and get their manual. It should be on line, and free. Read & repeat.

The best study guy is your states DMV manual.
