It will count on FHWA not State. Every voilation written on the truck you are driving is now tracked by the feds. Equipment or not. There is a points system that is completely different than the state your licensed from. You can go to the FHWA site for details.

Here's what I have always used and never had a problem. If the time stamp is showing the incorrect time, I write on the BOL time shown incorrect above where I sign the BOL so it appears on all copies. I also show correct time.

If there time is correct, then I show that I'am at that location at the time they show, does not matter if its sleeper, off or on duty, but at that location. I alway show 15 minutes for loading or unloading and never been questioned by companies or DOT. This extra time shown off duty will help your 70 hour clock from getting jammed up. You must flag the pickup or delivery as such thou. You only need show more time if the paperwork indicates driver load or unload. The time shown in line 1 or 2 may not help your 14 but it will certainly help your 70.

as told to us by the state DOT and a local DOT friend. Data Q, you have a better chance of winning the lottery. if the ticket involves money, the state wont change it, because that means they were wrong and would have to refund the ticket. which wont happen. and as far as Mo. is concerned, you can dispute it but theres nothing illegal about making a mistake so they wont overturn the local officers warnings.... all part of the big moneymaking. if this was truly about safety cars would be involved since they are responsible for a majority of accidents..

The State of Mo doesnt. they figure the officer made a mistake and since there was a monetary fine, its not worth fixing. we spent weeks on the phone with his supervisor and anyone that we could get on the line and they all said the same thing. he hasnt made any mistakes in awhile :biggrin_25526: and that since it was just warning theres nothing they will do,, its just a warning <despite it counts towards csa scores which lost us some loads with landstar etc due to the dropped safety rating>. they say theres nothing illegal about making mistakes <thier guys mistake> but if we make a mistake its a ticket...:biggrin_2554:. so we tried dataq like suggested. go figure.. was denied/

    It's ALWAYS about the money!!!

What I don't understand is there are 254 Million cars on the road vs. 15.5 milloin trucks on the road. For the mathmetically challenged, that is 16 times more cars than trucks! Yet we pay a disproportionate share of road txes, tolls, and assorted other fees. We are subject to more and stricter regulations than cars. Even our tickets cost more money and have more severe consequences.

    WHY???

BECAUSE WE REFUSE TO DO ANYTHING TO STOP THIS INSANITY!!!

Oh the poor picked on truck drivers:biggrin_25518:

The simple facts that we cause more damage to infrastructure, travel in a year what most do in a decade or better, control an inherently more lethal vehicle, and we are compensated for using public roads has no justification right:biggrin_25522:

Yeah the entire "But it's just a money game" argument is a non starter. Don't break the law you pay no fine.

I think I'm going into the cross business. So many martyrs out there these days gotta be some money in it.

Since this is turning politican, and should be in the political forums, I will say this, not taking sides with any party, so as to be more a comment than a political statement.

Every president wants to be re-elected. In order to do this, there must be low inflation, low prices for goods, including gasoline,(goes with low inflation) and decent employment numbers.

In order to acheive the first part, and with people wanting their standard of living to be on a continual rise, we have to have cheap goods. Therefore, our trade policies are structured so as to have cheap imports. This keeps inflation down, while at the same time allowing the purchase of more goods at the same amount of money that would buy less if those goods were made in the US.

In order to prop up spending on higher priced US goods, money is then made cheap by the Federal Reserve. You will buy much more at 5% interest than 12%. For a period of time this scheme works, as the displaced US factory workers can get jobs at the now needed distribution facilities for the imported goods, and in sales of these goods, plus workers for construction of the houses built with plentiful money from low interest loans.

The problem arises when the scale is tipped to the point that so many people are out of work because of imports, there are not enough good paying jobs, or any jobs at all, to put the money to purches goods, services, homes, cars, ect, at any price, in the hands of consumers. This is pretty much where we are at now.

Every president within the last 30 years has done this so the economy can look good on their watch. This would result in them being re-elected, their party staying in power, and the history books looking kindly upon their legacy.

The problem that started this is when Americans thought they deserved to start out in life in newer, nicer, bigger, and better,... houses, cars, jobs, and status in life, than what our parents worked their entire life to attain.

I have no problem with a driver. I have a problem with the victimhood mentality used to turn wrong doing into a martyred class.

If it is all about revenue do not violate any of the laws you are supposed to follow.

I see many cars pulled over so the entire" They should get them" doesn't fly either.
