Anybody working for DOT food/transportation out of Modesto, CA?
I have applied, but have not been in for interview yet.
Not even a little bit interested in the food service/lumper end of it, just a "transfer" driver, as they call it. (no touch)
Do they require night driving?
Will they modify the truck to suit the driver(install inverters, remove cabinets to make room for a fridge, etc)
Any specific info would be helpful.
I have a good spot with W/S, but I have always been interested in DOT.
Thanks.

What happened jet did you get an interview? I just got hired on with DOT but I want to do the customer delivery job breaking down freight, more money.I have been driving for 19 years just got laid off(closed) from a job I was at for 13 years so I have a lot of experience with LTL and breaking down freight.
-
I got an email from them stating they would not hire me.
No further explanation. -
Jet, you started a thread to ask about DOT when both Chris and I from WPTS Page work there..lol. I dont know why you got the email, but you might want to try again. We are hiring like crazy and need experienced drivers. Was it a generically generated email or from a person? Let me know

I don't remember who it came from. Second time they have rejected me.

Are they a decent company to work for. Is the home time as advertised? I am interviewing for a transfer driver position. What times are they normally running? Night shifts or what Not. What kinds of places do they run to out of Modesto?
