dot physical/drug testing question

I have looked on here for my answer and couldn't find it so if I'm asking a question someone already had a post on I'm sorry I have my dot physical and drug test coming up next week not for employment yet but to start school I know they will tell me if I pass the dot physical before I leave but when will I get to know the results of the drug test? will they tell me that too before I leave and also if anyone knows will smoking cigs stop a company from hiring you?

 

I am a little bit and I know it will mess my career up before I get started but I have no choice I start school jan 6 and they want it at a certain time I never was a drinker but I did smoke weed half my life and I did stop that 3 months ago I stopped once before and bought the home drug test and it took me 3 months to clean out cause I'm so big I just took another home drug test and I passed it so not as nervous now I'm gonna send it to the lab and let them take a ng level on it

 

yes I know it is true about it messing up a career I went out for trucking school a few years ago only to be turned down for grants to pay for it I even had a pre hire at the time and a lot of the company's I applied too told me then you cant not of never have failed a drug test which really has to suck for those who made really dumb and stupid mistakes in there teen years

 

its a urine test I believe nida-5 drug screen

 

if I wait I would have to wait till the summer I already waited once I'm not going to just a truck driving school I'm taking the class at a college so instead of doing it all in 3 weeks it will be 2.5 months I took one of the home drug test this morning I passed it I'm going to send it into there lab and let them check the ng level which I think has to be under 15 ng's to pass the nida-5 drug screen I took it a about a month ago and my ng level was only 18 I should pass it I'm just nervous about it

 

will they doctor call me with the results of the drug test or do I just have to wait it out and see what the college says?
