Just looking for honest opinion. How likely am I to pass a dot physical with essential tremors? I have a clearance not from my neurologist stating that the condition is minor and does not effect my ability to drive. It is not very noticeable. I would say it almost not not noticable at all outside of writing or very fine tool use. I do not take medication to control it as it is very minor and has not gotten worse. Just looking for some opinion as I have found very little on the subject online.

Don’t mentions it in your DOT physical questionnaire and no one will know.
It’s as simple as that.
If the doctor ask you any questions regarding anything, a simple yes or no answer will suffice.
But if you decide to elaborate and volunteer information, you just opened up a can of worms and you’ll be wrapped in red tape indefinitely.tscottme, Moosetek13, silverspur and 6 others Thank this. -

Unless its something like heart issues, diabetes, or things of that nature, it doesn't need to be disclosed in my opinion.

I agree. Don’t mention it. If it gets worse and becomes obvious you’ll probably have to, meanwhile it’s so minimal it slips your mind. I’ve seen quite a few Drivers with very noticeable tremors. Doesn’t seem to affect their ability to drive or pass an exam.

If they do not ask, do not tell.
Is there a specific question on the DOT physical that asks about this?
And if you are not taking any meds for it, even that question is a moot point. -
