well the DOT is going to be auditing the 4 truck outfit I drive for and I am trippin out! we have pre pass and ez pass pike pass and K tags in our trucks and yes I cheat like hell on my logs.we use a discover card for fuel and the statement does not post times on it,my logs are nice and neat and my hours of service always jive.Mileage wise i can legally be where my logs say i was but...if they go to matching transponder times with my logs im royally screwed.the boss says the audit is because our safety score has gone up due to tickets and a couple minor non injury accidents none of which are mine.opinions guys and gals...how deep are they liable to dig in this situation and whats liable to happen to me here?

I know that back in 2000, the company I drove for had a company driver who was alot like you.

There were 75 drivers and they pulled his and reviewed the fuel purchases to the logs. They did this to the statements.

He was filling up at the wrong times and even missed some stops.

End result was the driver was fined 1500.00 for false logs.

it is my understanding that the only information that is pulled is the fuel times and locations. as far as i know, the prepass and toll logs can not be used against you unless you are involved in an accident that involves a fatality.

i could be wrong. so check that information out for yourself.

Tolls are now considered part of the support documents since 2005 I believe.

They actually pull the fuel records from comdata and check transaction times.

    Prepass, who knows.

Prepass, Im not sure on, but ezpass for the tolls..oh yea, same as fuel stops. gotta match the book. I used to get violations from my company all the time for the toll times being different.

They will pull whatever they can as far as receipts to match times.
The credit card statements may not show times but the receipts might.

They have one job, to find something wrong, and all the time in the World to do it.
Let us know how you make out.

I had them pull INCOME TAX info and verify income to miles driven on 2 of my drivers.
