I took the door apart to replace window motor and now the #### thing wont open from inside. It opens fine from outside, but not inside. I took it all apart again but got frustrated and walked away. The rod that runs from the handle to the door latch is bent up, but I have messed with it and cant get it to release the latch. help please!!

Make sure first that it's connected to the latch correctly. Mine has a little plastic keeper that keeps the rod in the hole on the latch. If that isn't in right
it won't work. If you're not sure what exactly is wrong, take your other door apart, but don't mess with the linkage, just look at it very carefully to see how
it is connected. Then try to duplicate it on your drivers door. You should be able to get it to release. Detail and patience, you'll get it.

I had this problem (similar) after I replaced all of the little clips.
But my issue was that if you locked the pass door and then closed it, it would pop unlocked!
Sadly, I wasnt sure that this was the way it always was or not, before I worked on it.

I did what 04lowmax suggested and looked at the driver door but everything appeared to match.

So, I gave up. My wife gets out and I snap the lock shut. No big deal in my case.
I never lock the driver door w/o using the key when leaving, so I cant accidentally leave the key in the rig...

hanadarko...thats a feature on the trucks. in order to get it to lock from the outside u have to lock the door and as u close it u have to hold the handle in the open position...like ur opening the door. i know it sounds strange but thats how it works.

    Hanadarko Thanks this.
