I've ran the PacNW for years but have never stayed at Donna's.
Mainly because I usually park at a customer, or the logistics have me south of town in the SeaTac area.

This time my 14 was ticking low after shucking off 11 stops from Wenatchee to Auburn, up thru Seattle, all the way to the BC/US line.
I came back south and Donna's was my landing zone.

    PLEASANTLY SURPRISED!
Yes... it's pay to park. ($10) but if you spend $ or buy fuel it's free.
I don't think that's too much to ask.
They have a business to run, just like we do.

The parking lot was decently lit, no creepers milling around, no trash, a few pot holes.. but not bad.

Inside, it was well stocked with things you'd need for a quick grab.
A deli counter full of chicken and taters, burritos, and other artery clogging delights.

I ate off of the menu.
The 1lb burger and fries. Excellent.

The best part was the customer service.

The ladies were attentive, and talkative. They recognized me each time I walked in the door and addressed me from the previous conversation. WOW.

This morning, I got much the same treatment from the morning staff.
Very friendly. No snotty attitude, as if it's a bother to get out of bed and come to work.

The restrooms are a bit undersized for the volume of business they do, (only two sit downers) but that can be dealt with unless you're pinching a Turtle Head and someone is reading the newspaper.

For all you youngsters, and newer drivers... this is how they ALL used to be !
I will go out of my way to return !

They have free showers also. Could use an updating but it gets the job done.

There's a huge outlet mall behind the truck stop along with a casino. Definitely a good location to take a 34.

I've never stopped there. Might have to check it out. GeeCee's I-5 exit 57 is my favorite in Washington. As much as I hate Pilot, the one they opened in Arlington is a godsend if you're going north of Seattle.

That's one of my regular stops when I'm up there. They have great clam chowder in the restaurant.

I run that area a lot, so where is Donna's? I stayed at the Rebel truck stop just north of Van Couver last night (I-5). It is very small, but had a kitchen that was bigger than the C store. Gotta say, the food was off the hook good. It is fast food (kinda), but it was #### sure good. Had a burger and onion rings. Burger was cooking right in front of me and the O' rings were hand breaded and pretty good too. Just saying.

Been there many times, I had battery trouble there once and the KW dealer behind them came jumped me off with no charge even. Do not unhook your trailer there even for a few minutes without permission though. A truck died on the scales and several of us were helping, one driver unhooked to jump him and went back, only to find a kingpin lock on his trailer. They wanted 50 bucks to remove it even after explaining what he was doing, several of us went to bat for him and they decided to forgoe the bucks finally.
