He guys, got a question about Donaldson mufflers. Two weeks ago, I bought a Donaldson hi flo muffler (M100465) from a guy on Amazon for $105. Sweet, right? Not so fast. After I took it out of the box and examined it, there are zero baffles or any internal anything. Except for a small maybe 6 inch long stub on the outlet side, it's completely hollow. I'm thinking I just got took. I included a stock picture of an actual M100465 for reference. Anybody ever use something like this? I'm thinking about just returning it and spending the extra $$ on a genuine Donaldson. What say you?![]()

I thought the M100463 was the high flow model..?
I'd run it..Rideandrepair Thanks this. -
That flows well but more economy. The 100463 flows almost a 1000cfm more.

I'm running one on a Detroit, stack behind cab. Pretty tame from the drivers seat. The Jake belchs pretty good. I had one similar to the 100465. Seamed louder.Last edited: Oct 16, 2020

As I recall the 463, I got from Ryder looked about the same, you could see straight through. They’re only slightly louder than stock mufflers

A 463 has more of a ventura cone shape.singlescrewshaker and Rideandrepair Thank this. -
For the price, and since you already have them, I keep them. Who knows, you might get a bump in mpg’s to boot.
