My 2017 truck came with a factory installed dometic fridge hardwired to the battery pack.
But it has stopped cooling. Still has power and lights up when the door is opened. The red LED inside blinks 3 times every few secs.
Best I can find online is somebody saying it means it "has power but is not ready", but nobody knows what that means and the person never heard back from Dometic customer support despite several attempts.
Anybody else have this issue and know a solution?

Replace it.
Throw out any food and milk etc within it.
That's the only solution. Most of the time there is nothing to service in those possible portables. If you did, you will find the bill a horrible one versus a new retail replacement.
We once turned in a 120 dollar window air conditoner to our Heat and AC man at his shop to repair. He laughed at us as if we were stupid. We said we love this thing and would like it fixed.
He says... O K A Y... but this will be a expensive lesson for you two. Then laughed some more.
The bill? 350.00 (We could have bought probably THREE window retail air conditoners for that money... ugh. Lesson duly learned.
If they build these things that crappy, take the time to find a GOOD unit that will last longer.
We had a generic cool master that lasted almost 10 years. Either in the house or in one of our cars. But it is not something we can keep food in more than a few days. Just enough to be safe without spoiling something on the dash in the sun. -
You might try to disconnect it and see if it will reset itself, but like X1Heavy said just replace it with something better.

Those built in fridge/freezer units are hardly something you just throw away and replace before exhausting all reasonable repair options. I think they’re around $800 or more. And Dometic is a respected brand among RV and travel trailer people

Hi Zaroba,
Could you post the model number of the Dometec.
Is it one that runs on high current DC only or is it gas combo type?
Do you have a small digital multimeter that you can use to verify the voltage(s) at the input of the fridge? Sometimes a poor connection will be able to light lights with a voltage too low so satisfy the electronics. -
Mine was doing the same thing. It was the control module that went out on it. You can get a new one for 150 or a refurbished one for around 40.

At my terminal so the shop could look at it and the freightliner guy that works here just swapped it for a new one. Said he doesn't even bother diagnosing them when they have the 3 flash error.

dont invest too much time into fixing it rather throw it out buy a different brand i seen so many of them next to a garbage can. when mine went out i just made some cuts into the panel and installed one from walmart for 100 bucks was a happy camper more storage and reliable.

Check your vents on it also. And around the compressor if you can get to it. Past experience lends me to lean to check first toss second. Usually it's a simple fix in my experience. An if your looking for help online...try some of the forums dedicated to appliance repair. Quite a few out there, perhaps one of them can help. An not to be insulting...but...Did you try defrosting it?Or have it unplugged recently? They can take a bit to back up to temperature if it has been unplugged/disconnected recently.
Washers and dryers are similar. Usually an easy fix but people choose to just go buy a new one.
Good luck with the fridge.

Yep . Control module.
Mine did the same thing.
Except mine cost $300 directly from Dometic.
I chose that over a $600 new fridge bc the Dometic tech promised me that the bug had been worked out of the system and now they won't fail.
I said... "if you know they have a "bug", doesn't that make this a recall issue?"
CRICKETS.
I never got any option for a $150 part or a $40 refurb... I would have jumped on it.
Been 18mo and mine is still kickin.
