Does anyone know anything about Dolphin Lines out of Mobile, AL.? Going to talk to them tomorrow morning (5-11-11). Better trucks, faster trucks, better hometime, better miles, terminal 20 miles from my home, so no 18 hour Greyhound ride back home later on, and from what I've heard, nicer people. But the proof is in the pudding, so if anyone has actually worked for them please elaborate. Thanks, God bless and be safe.![]()

I don't know much about them. Looks like they have newer equipment. I mostly see prostars. They don't run an ad in the paper everyday like some companies around here, I consider that a good sign. I was trying to find out some info on Wright transportation but never heard anything. I guess nobody on this site has any info on companies around Mobile.

Thanks 2009GMC, I found out a little bit. They are buying new straight 10 stick Prostars, getting rid of the Volvo automatics. No APU's on the new trucks but they said when it comes to idle time just use some common sense and there won't be any problems. They run a lot of Texas and Florida. Primarily southeast but they do run the midwest and a little northeast. The only thing I didn't like was that they don't have Prepass or EZ-Pass. No need to explain the downside of that. They prefer you to have Hazmat and TWIC but TWIC isn't a big deal so much as Hazmat.

And they don't hire out of the Tampa area!! They do run to Lakeland quite a bit... never heard anyting bad about them!

Rob G do you happen to know anything about Evergreen Transportation?
-
I know where Evergreen is and they are not far from Dolphin Lines at all. Just right down the road from them on Rangeline Rd. off of I-10 in Mobile and they have other terminals but that's the closest one to me of course since I live in Mobile. One of my best friends knows a guy that used to drive for them and I talked to him about them and he had nothing at all bad to say about them. He said they were a good company to work for. Outside of that I can't say.

Evergreen is supposed to be hiring local drivers if your interested.
