It is suppose to be a good paying account from what I hear. You just have to really work for your $. A recruiter told me $170 to unload with an average of 3 loads per week. Est. weekly pay, without deductions, is said to be $800-$1000, but recruiters will tell you what you want to hear.

Thanks!! I appreciate the info......

No problem. I always think in my mind "if it sounds to good to be true...." lol, you know the rest of that phrase.
-
That's a lot better than what I got for unloading out here in WA.
That said I wouldn't do it again for $200 to unload, it's a miserable job.
I did it for 8 months at SNI,they ran me to death as they were always short of drivers with guys constantly quitting.
I'd do that job again maybe if I made $80K-$100K a year lol, that's never going to happen in this lifetime and like I said "maybe".
There's just too many jobs out there that pay as well without breaking your back.TruckDuo Thanks this. -
I have no experience but others have also told me they wouldn't do it for that pay. Maybe recruiters are pushing the dedicated account because guys/gals are leaving.

Y2K, excellent point with the tight areas.

Coming from a CDL student, I think many recent grads believe that "dedicated" means more money. I don't really understand why, half the recruiters will tell you their dedicated accounts pay less, except for the guys pushing the dollar accounts. Pretty sad that one specific run gets thrown into student presentations for any company that has it.
Hell, if I was willing to work that hard for a slightly bigger check, I'd just go with a grocery hauler and make way more than what these accounts advertise, lol -
When we were in trucking school, recruiters from Werner, USX, Schneider, Swift, etc. would come around & push Family Dollar, Dollar General, Dollar Tree. They would claim you would make an extra $2 - $5k a year for unloading. I was always amazed how many would fall for this pitch. Unloading a 53 foot trailer is like a bottomless pit ! Driving all day then back into a tight spot then spend forever unloading....all for a couple of bucks extra.
You deliver to a lot of Dollars but you make none yourself. These accounts are truckings version of snake oil.
