Does this look right to carry a forklift piggyback?

I just got this flatbed recently and I'm still pretty new to these trailers. The guy who sold it to me said it has the option to carry a forklift in back. Someone recently told me that it looks like a "homemade" job and isn't the right setup for a forklift piggyback. He said something about it needing to have "claws" over the top that the forklift latches on too. The guy who sold me the trailer said you simply stick the forks in the slots, lift up the forklift and then secure the forklift with chains/straps to each of the corners at the rear of the trailer. 20150118_172908.jpg 20150118_172924.jpg

You are missing something there buddy! It should have a crossbar forward of the bumper for the loader tires to rest on.

Different forklift manufacturers have different styles of trailer securements. Hopefully the one your trailer is set up for is one that's still made and common...

Look up moffet conversion kits or piggyback or donkey, your missing the the tire pads and forward tire stops at least. Does it have a pigtail for elec? Gotta run lights on a back mount lift.

Edit: i see the pigtail socket. But mine has braing under the back about 2 and a half feet in for extra suport for the forks, also vertical angle iron to make a "grove" or "pocket" for the fork tines.

Ive seen it too, theres a sod company up here that has one just like it. Looks crude by todays standards but thats how they did it back then.
