When applying to some companies they say must have 2 years of OTR experience does my 2 years being regional count for that?
Does regional count as otr experience

It is the same work, just a smaller area of the country.Jacob20 Thanks this. -
In majority of cases, companies will accept that.

Someone told me if your truck crosses state lines you now are OTR for any job applications lol.

It should, surprisingly enough back when I was a wee lad looking to go otr after 3 years of local I was told none of it counted and I would have to start at the bottom, so I stayed local for another 5 years
xlsdraw Thanks this. -
Running all of Texas or California would make me OTR. If I had to run NYC I would OOR
-
The only reason it wouldn't is if the company seeking the driver with OTR experience expects the driver to have experience driving in particular areas that your region doesn't cover. Those driving SE regional typically don't have mountain driving experience, which could be a problem for a company wanting a driver to frequently enter and exit Northern California. Donner's Pass is not an area to drive in the winter for the first time alone.
