I know they rarely hire out of Florida! That is NOT the question I am asking. I am currently located in Morganfield, Kentucky which I know Prime Inc. will hire from. On their website I have seen several Florida locations under Terminals and Drop Yards. My family is located in Florida. So this is a major concern for me. It's either Swift or Prime and I want to roll with PRIME! Thank you all for your help.
Does Prime Have Any Terminals in Florida?

God bless every American and their families! God bless the U.S.A.! -
As far as hiring out of Florida, depends on the location you are talking about. I know in North Florida where I am, they are hiring for reefer division. Your best bet will be to call up a recruiter and ask them. Or maybe one of the drivers can let you know once you post a location.
I'll let one of the drivers answer the terminal/drop yard. I'd only be repeating what is on their site...no first hand knowledge if they are still in the same places. -
I have talked to many Prime Lease Operators in past few weeks. Every single one was happy. But after them learning more wish they bought their own rig. Take it however you like. Just relay their message to me. I see their trucks down here in Florida daily. So know loads get down here. GL in Future.

I have family in Fort Lauderdale, FL which is 3 hours away from Orlando. I know they hire out of Orlando but I won't be getting hired from there but from Morganfield, KY. I'm just wondering when it comes time for me to get home time can I get a load going to Orlando or something like that in order to travel to see my family in Fort Lauderdale. Again, I know they hire Orlando and anything north of Orlando. So if I get loads going to north Florida when it comes time for me to take home time I will be fine.

We do haul loads into Florida, but the problem is that there aren't a lot of loads coming in or out of there. That makes the hometime thing iffy... you're OK if you aren't going to insist on exact dates. You'd have to drop your trailer in Auburndale- although Pierson and Miami are possibilities, and security may insist you leave the tractor there as well because of theft problems. You're most likely going to have to arrange transportation to Lauderdale, certainly in the case of Auburndale.

I live in Florida the issue in Florida is that rates out of Florida stink. That is true for all freight out of Florida not just prime. If you team aka train you can do ok out for fl. If you go company you can always get out. We are the main carrier for tropicana so u can get a load out but as all carries realize the rates stink. But for company who cares. So with prime getting in and out of Florida is no problem. Even solo you can unload in Miami then drag flowers to Pierson so teams like me can pick me up there. In my experience. If you give them 10 days notice Florida home time is no issue.
