Does JB Hunt pay for Cat scale tickets?

Company driver yes. Oowner operator no

 

JB paid for scale for o/o when I drove for them and that was just over a year ago. Use cat app and attach to jbhunt acct.

 

Most carriers will pay for weighs, not just CAT scales. What a driver does unless there is an established account is once the load is finished you add the receipts to what you send to the carrier. Things like lumpers, hotel receipts etc. As to OOs this depends on the contract and how the authority holder does it. I have seen OOs have to pay for weighs and I have also seen the carriers pay for it.

If they reimburse you, then they are paying for the scale ticket in the end - if you decide to include the scale ticket in your trip info.

And if you don't even have the funds to pay up front they can probably advance you the money.
But if you can't afford 12 bucks for a scale ticket, the company may not be worth working for.
