CTS driver? Is CTS a contract company or just what does CTS stand for?

I’ve applied to CTS and got a phone call from HR out of Effingham. I have a boatload of questions that I hope won’t bother you. Let just start off by saying that I have 40 years safe driving, no tickets, and have driven the last 6 years for The same company. I have been a trainer for them the last 5 years. I have delivered to SW in Reno a number of times but never spoke to one of your drivers. I live in South Florida near West Palm Beach and applied to what I thought was the DC in Winter Haven.
What I am looking for at this stage of my life is to not be on the road as long as I am. I am looking for something I can end my career with. The little bit I have researched sounds like something that would suit me just fine. As a trainer at Abilene, I made $81K last year. The number might sound good, but I’m tired of sharing my truck with complete strangers. If I stop training, then I loose about $12-15 thousand a year.
I’m not going to bore you with all my details, but I am hoping you can give me some insight on the type of jobs in the trucking portion of CTS and what I can realistically expect to make. I’m interested in more that just income, it's the other parts that I am curious about, health insurance, 401K, time off and so on. Thank you for your time, be safe, and I look forward to hearing from you.

I'll just say that I made more than you working Mon-Fri mostly. I worked 3 or 4 Saturdays last year and one of those was due to a breakdown. It's a good place to work and I've no intention of leaving until (early) retirement age. As for your other questions;
Everyone peddles paint. Usually to the stores but we've started doing Lowes and Menards stores this year. You'll have a pallet jack and it's your job to tailgate pallets at the stores. It's a hustle job. There is no write a comcheck and take a nap here. Some days you'll bump your 14.
Benefits are good and start the first of the month following your date of hire. You'll have vacation time depending on date of hire plus 2 personal days from day 1. You can contribute to the 401k immediately though the 6% match doesn't kick in until 1 year of service. They also contribute to a pension annually that's a percentage of you gross pay based on your age + years of service.
Total compensation is easily over 100k a year for me anyway. Any more questions, ask away or PM.CorsairFanboy, 4mer trucker, JohnBoy and 1 other person Thank this. -
