I have a 379exhd with a 70inch stand-up. I pull a stepdeck with a roll tarp. I have had the tail on my older E models and the tail worked great. But with my MXS acert, the fuel mileage constantly fluxuates from 5.1 to 5.8. I run the same roads and pull the same loads every week. I go out loaded and come home empty. I'm wondering
if anybody has seen the ups and downs from an acert and if a tail would help.

I had one on my w9 when I bought it. I left it up there for years until it started to leak. Pulled it off, filled the holes and repainted. I GAINED 2/10 by getting rid of the dumb looking thing.

I'd say they are right up there with Turbo 3000D's... and Motor Kote... and Air Tabs... and Tornado air intake vortex generators...

I'd say the quality of fuel will make a better difference (summer blend vs winter blend) also try slowing down to 60-63

Whale tails seem to disrupt air more than help. Put a Taylor wing on my W9, picked up .5 mpg. Not a guess I record every tank of fuel. Lower it till ya get bugs on the trailer then raise it one hole. Full fairing probably better but expensive and need to paint to match.
