    Hi

Anyone know what the start pay and pay progression is for the “Dockworker with CDL” position at UPS?

Also, what LTL companies in the NE offer the highest salaries? 80K+. (Got the wife and 2 kids to support.)

I’m currently working food service and need to get the heck out of this line work ASAP. Plus leave Florida due to low salaries and increasing cost of living. I’ll gladly work as a City diver, Road driver, or line haul. No objections to working overnights or a weekend here and there.

As always thank you in advance for your replies.

@FlaSwampRat can answer your questions about UPS; he retired from there.
He also has a high paying job in Florida with a different company now.

Sounds like UPS Freight, not small pack.
I’d imagine it’s a dockworker that is certified to switch in the yard and run overflow kick outs when needed.

Edit: highest ltl salaries you’ll find in the NE and home daily will be UPSF and FXF. You can earn considerably more as a systems driver for Saia, Estes or OD laying down in a hotel.

I’m not sure Saia has established systems drivers up here yet though.

Several companies in Texas and Las Vegas that pay well and have dock & driver work. No state income taxes and good weather.
All these have union benefits except Old Dominion & Estes Express.
    ABF
    YRC Freight
    Old Dominion Freight Line
    Reddaway
    Estes Express

Definitely sounds like UPS freight. You moving to the North east? Where at?
