I know the border crossing does but what about normal weigh stations in the US? I can't remember where but one weigh station had all types of equipment on poles on the sides of the truck before you rolled onto the scales. Could have just been cameras though.
Do some interior weigh stations have Xray scanners?

There are some that scans your dot number and license plate super fast while rolling through.BUMBACLADWAR and TruckRunner Thank this. -
Scales do not have x rays.
At the border they only x ray you if you either drive through the x ray truck with the arm over top or go into the x ray building. They will tell you what to do. Your truck won't be x rayed secretly. Personally I hate the x ray truck version. They're probably hitting at least part of my body every time they do it. Which isn't often, those are at the small border crossings, but being x ray there is way higher % than crossing at a large crossing.
Some scales have similar looking large yellow posts you drive through, one each side. These can detect radiation. These are all at the border every truck goes through one just before you approach primary. Some states have heat imaging to see if excess heat is anywhere it shouldn't be. They can see a tire or brake failing before it happens with these.
This is a good watch if you have a half hour to kill.

Uhmmm...why is this question being asked?

The OP was hoping that the chicken coup could let him know if his foot was broken or just sprained.

The yellow boxes beside SOME weigh stations were to detect hidden radioactive material. Some of them no longer work but NOBODY wants to take them away.
Pro-Tip: In general, never smuggle radioactive material in your truck or trailer, just to be safe.BUMBACLADWAR, Lepton1 and TruckRunner Thank this. -
I-25 SB at Raton has brake heat sensors and radiation sensors. The new supercoop being built there will have newer versions. I-70 EB at Downieville used to have brake sensors. I believe the WB scale on 80 at Utah/Wyo. has brake heat sensors.

I-10 eastbound in Mississippi, just across the line with Louisiana. That scale house has more sensors and gadgets than the average. And once in a while they bring in the radiation truck.
Lepton1 Thanks this. -
