Recently I've seen quite a few trucks having strings of blue light bulbs installed around and inside the windshield, they are visible from the outside... A few questions:
1) Whatz the point of having that? For Cosmetic or is there a purpose?
2) Blue light means snowplowanyone ever get into trouble for having those?
I am confused...
Do not understand the Blue lights inside windshield?

I was always told (have not researched) that you can not have any other color pointing forward except for yellow. And would think common sense would tell you no blue pointing forward. Just my 2 cents . Besides I do not want anything that draws attention to me and not the other trucks........

I ask because I used to run green neons under my explorer and plan on putting neons under my truck. I know some states don't allow it but I've seen many trucks with neons underneath and it looks insanely good.

one being, it is used an an ID light for another driver to "recognize" another company driver going the opposite direction, and they can turn on the cb's and give out information, or just say "hi"....(this is what me and some of my former co-workers did)
it could be used to "reduce "some of" the oncoming glare inside your windshield form cars coming towards you, (but i never "saw" any benefit to this)
sometimes a driver "needs" a light just enough to "defuse" the glare from the instrument panel lights and not having to lower the brightness of the dash panel lights so much as that he cannot see them.
if memory serves me correctly, only white or yellow are supposed to be used, in a forward moving position.
some states WILL pull over a driver, and issue a nice ticket as well.Oldironfan and Big Don Thank this.
